AN air-conditioned coach is being developed at the Blackpool works of Duple Coachbuilders. Stone-Platt refrigeration units are being used with the compressor located in the nearside locker. The refrigeration units are mounted on top of the roof at the rear of the body. Separate cold-air ducts spread the air through the otherwise standard Dominant body.
The body, on an 11m Leyland Leopard chassis, is expected to be delivered to Greater Manchester PTE in May ready for its summer season of Continental tours.
