KYSOR radiator shutters are being offered as original equip. ment on Leyland National 2 single-deckers.
Used in conjunction with a thermostatically-controllec radiator fan, the shutters provide for a fast engine warm up fron cold, and ensure that the engine operating temperature always maintained at its correct level. On National 2, the shutters and radiator fan are synchronisec to make sure that the fan does not work when the shutters an closed.
Goods vehicle operators record fuel savings of between 5.!. and 11.85 per cent with Kysor, and most have found that tht E200 installation cost is paid for within a few months.
