A CALL to abandon th notorious Windsor Cordo series of heavy vehicle bans i Berkshire has been made b the Freight Transpot Association, Road Haulag Association and the Nation; Farmers' Union.
They have called on th Berkshire County Council t abandon the cordon unless can show convincing evidenc of an overall benefit to th community.
News of the message to th county comes on the eve another county counc meeting at which it is due t decide whether to continu with another six months of tt experiment from June 12.
The cordon has already bee the subject of High Coui hearings in which the thrE associations have tried to haN the bans on heavy vehiclE removed but the applicatior were rejected.
