NEXT month, a standing joint cornmittee is due to meet to discuss the framework of an agreement embodying salaries and conditions of employment of administrative, clerical and supervisory employees of the road haulage undertakings acquired by the Road Haulage Executive. Employees concerned are those with basic rates of salary up to £630 a year.

The inaugural meeting of the Eastern Division negotiating committees was held recently at Norwich. Mr. J. B. Garrett, divisional manager, was elected chairman of the three negotiating committees.
