• TIP is to expand its tanker rental division onto the Continent and Rotterdam and Hamburg look set to be the company's first European centres.
TIP says: "We see great potential in tanker rental on the Continent. We want to get there as soon as possible. We may move into Rotterdam and Hamburg first as they are both deep water ports and a large amount of tanker commodities are moved through them."
Since T1P's take-over of Greenland Tankers in August, the company has expanded the 72-tanker fleet to 107 and over 20 more tankers are on order.
