• North-east independent bus operator Trimdon Motor Services is to expand its services in Tyneside, County Durham and Cleveland with the purchase of 50 secondhand buses.
Trimdon already owns about 150 Bristol LH saloons: some servicing new routes from Sunderland, others on contract to Tyne & Wear PTE. The first commercial service to South Sheilds has also started this month.
