Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Northumberland County Council has placed a repeat order for a further seven Commer VCA 815 chassis, fitted with Unipower single speed tandem drive bogie units. They will go into service as frost gritters, and the addition of these machines will give the corporation a total fleet of 23 Commer-Unipower vehicles.

Unipower four-spring balance-beam suspension was specified in conjunction with Eaton single-speed axles; the chassis frame is internally reinforced for its full length and the machines are to operate at 18 tons gross.

Grit spreading equipment will be supplied by F. Bode and Sons Ltd, Leek, and incorporate a hydraulic drive to give a spreading variation of +oz to 2-oz of salt per square yard. Salt or grit from the 9 cu yd body is fed to the spreader units by a conveyer chain, driven from a drive line power take off, to give correct conveyor speed relative to road speed.
