• The Williams Motor Co (Manchetter) Ltd is to show a prototype 12-seater passenger service bus to be called the Deansgate Mancunian and based on the Bedford CF 35cwt Van, at the National Coach Rally at Blackpool in April. If present difficulties with the supply of component parts are ironed out in time the bus should be available in quantity to customers by late April.
The bodybuilders' £60,000 plant, opened last year at Kirby, near Liverpool, has been geared to produce, initially, 15 models weekly. Williams have recently moved their Deansgate subsidiary division to new premises at 336 Wilmslow Road, Manchester (telex 664871).
