'HOMAS Nationwide Transport nada a world-wide consolilated net operating profit of 34.78m for the 12 months )nded June 30. This represents in increase of E5.28m or 18 per ant on the previous year's remits of E29.5m.
Extraordinary items not taken nto account in the above items ,howed a loss of £3.28m, corn)ared with a loss of £3.22m for 1981. Group revenue for the year vas £726m, an increase of 30 )er cent on 1981.
"Excellent" financial results, iccording to the annual report, vere achieved in the UK, alhough economic conditions vere unfavourable. Growth of Iroup activities was substantial.
