TRATHENS of Yelverton is to centralise its operations from October 11 with a move to new headquarters at Roborough, Plymouth.
The Elm investment includes the purchase of Roborough House, a period building set in its own grounds and formerly owned by Lord Roborough, which will serve as a tour base for holiday operations, a reception and booking area for coach parties, and the administrative centre for Trathens' business.
As part of the development, Trathens has also built a 14,000sqft covered facility with provision for up to 10 coaches, including five over pits. As well as a rolling brake tester, body repair area and workshops the building includes two spray booths capable of handling passenger vehicles.
