The first, on a 154kW (206bhp) Deutz-engined Cargo is one of a batch of 17 similar chassis being supplied to Tolemans, the car delivery company, by Dagenham Motors.
The extra weight penalty imposed by the moulded grp cab extension with its integrated steel frame is less than 100kg (220.5 lb) so chassis kerb weight remains under five tonnes (4 ton 18cwt).
Locomotors' extension incorporates the standard cab's rear windows, adds side windows and has a moulded skirt at the base. Sidewall wind deflectors similar to those on the standard cab have been added.
A side flap in the offside of the extension gives access to the engine oil filler and dipstick.
Internally, the single-berth sleeper cab is equipped with a 101.6mm (41n) thick foam mattress, Eberspacher combustion heater, curtains all round, and full trim to match that of the standard Cargo cab.
