Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE BRITISH OXYGEN CO. LTD. has good reason to be proud of its drivers after their impressive performance at the Newcastle-upon-Tyne round of the Lorry Driver of the Year contest on Sunday. Mr. E. Dawson, driving an Albion was the overall winner, and the winner in his own class, C. The company's men also won the team prize, and gained an award in every class entered.

None of last year's class winners managed a repeat performance, though A. Warner, who was overall winner last year, and winner in his class, F(1), was second in this class this time. Other previous winners took some second and third places.

The lowest number of penalty points was the 22 of D. Elgey, of Watson's (Carriers) Ltd., runner-up to the overall winner. He won class D in his Bedford, only three points ahead of second man in the class, K. Gray, of British Oxygen, driving an Albion. Most points were lost generally on test one, kerb parking. Mr. Dawson dropped 20 of his 36 points here. Route-driving, however, claimed only 56 points from all those who took awards. Second and third prizes only were presented, as the organizers have arranged for a special ceremony at midnight on June 9, in the Odeon Cinema, Newcastle. Superintendent T. Clifford, clerk of the course said they wanted to make the competition a "big thing" in the interests of road safety, and this was one way of drawing attention to it.
