Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EUROAXLES of Tunstall, Lancashire, has carried out a third axle conversion to a Fiat 170 belonging to Red and Son of Stoke-onTrent, using an SAF air-suspended axle fitted with a lift device.

The tractive unit can couple to 12.2m (40ft) trailers with 1.2m (3.94ft) kingpin positions and remain within the new 15.5m (50.86ft) limit. It can also accom modate trailers arriving from overseas with longer kingpin locations up to 1.7m (5.6ft) without exceeding the 15.5m length limit or the plated axle weight of the Unit.

Twin-wheel fixing and axle lift are included in the conversion but single offset wheel fixings, self-tracking axles or any combination of these can be applied.

UK distributor for the SAF axles and suspensions is Industrial Machinery Supplies of Shepshed, Leicestershire.
