Manceuytable Body
Tilaccompanying illustrations show a particularly neat l of trailer chassis and body, manufactured to specification, by Rice Caravans, Ltd., Gargrave, Skipton, Yorks, for the makers of " K " brand shoes.
The overall dimensions of the body have been governed by the fact that it is for use in the company's lifts, and although the one shown measures only 4 ft. 6 ins. high, 2 ft. 9 ins, wide and 4 ft. A ins, long, variations are, of course, possible. For ease of manceuvring, the body is provided with castor wheels.
A useful feature of this trailer is that by providing a number of bodies, no delay need be occasioned, as whilst one load is on its way, other bodies can be loaded up ready for the return of the trailer.
Even when the body is loaded it can readily be moved about, and as the trailer chassis can be tilted backwards to almost any extent, the work of mounting the body is simplicity itself.
Pressed channel steel is used for the trailer chassis, and whilst of rigid construction, it is at the same time commendably light. The Rice system of automatic brakes is fitted.
