DAF TRUCKS have made first bid for a share of the tonne artic market by Immo an FT2105DH vehicle bas the FT2100DHR driveline.
Unlike the DHR vehicle, new 24-tonner, which will p ably appeal mainly to exis DAF operators which want standardise their fleets, hai naturally aspirated 8.25-litre gine.
It is fitted with a ZF S6-65 5 speed synchromesh gearb with GV80 two-speed splitter DAF 2255 single-reduction el axle, ratio 6.33:1, and either rd sleeper or non-sleeper cab. l Kerb weight is 5.22 . tor* (5ton 3cwt), and the vehicle aimed primarily at high volurr low weight operators which, not want to be trapped It paying higher tax when the 1 c Transport Act's gross wel based tax provisions come r force. Sales of around 50 tct are envisaged for this year.
The list price of the new l is £17,500.
