Price (Cardiff) Ltd) has been elected chairman of the South Wales maintenance committee for goods vehicles; John Vickers (transport engineer, Royal Insurance Group, Cardiff) and G. D. Evans (md, John Evans & Sons (Llanelli) Ltd) are vice-chairman; P. J. Webb (secretary, RHA Swansea) and T. J. Barnes (regional controller, Freight Transport Association Bristol) joint secretaries.
Oliver Jenkin-Jones (ICI Ltd) has been re-elected chairman of the Freight & Transport Association's commercial committee. J. R. Elliot (Metal Box Co Ltd) and R. W. Gray (Wiggins Teape Ltd) are vice-chairmen.
B. M. Bloomer, 39, is to succeed Ivor Mitchell, who is retiring, as Goodyear Tyre and Rubber service department manager.
Geoff Cole, 43, joins SCA Freight as marketing manager.
Guy Newberry. director of the NBC's Eastern region, becomes director of operational development, and will be succeeded by D. G. F. Rawlinson, gm of United Automobile Services and a chief gm in the Eastern region.
George Carruthers, group executive, manpower and public relations, is appointed director of manpower but will continue to oversee public relations matters.
