CRITICISM of the number of istomers who expect empty illets to be returned withit transport charges has ime from the long-distance itional functional cornittee of the RHA.
The committee has urged I members to charge for this rvice, either directly or by lowing for the return of npties when quoting an original rate.
The committee has also commented on the use of axle-weighing devices. Several members have experimented with axleweighers but the committee considers that although accurate when originally fitted the devices tend to become increasingly inaccurate with use.
