Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Following complaints from operators a rectification programme for 3306B ATAAC engines suffering from head gasket problems is being launched by Foden and Caterpillar. The "Field Fix" campaign includes a number of workshop checks and practices on vehicles using the Cat engine with Foden's cooling system.

Foden's managing director, Rod Heather, says the problem had many causes: "It's been a damn complicated thing to resolve." There will not be a recall of all such vehicles, rectification will only be carried out on vehicles that have failed.

Workshops and operators experiencing these problems with 3306B Cat engined Fodens should contact their nearest main dealer.
