• Volkswagen's new Polo car-derived van finally broke cover at the Brussels Motor Show last month. It was scheduled to appear at the Birmingham show last September but was withdrawn at the last moment. The wait is not over for UK buyers, however: it is not expected to arrive here until April.
Transporter delayed
• The new Volkswagen Transporter UK launch has been delayed. One-tonne SWB models due to arrive in January; are not now expected until April.
