Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The water Eliminator, designed to remove rainwater and condensation from diesel and petrol tanks, is being marketed by Hurstway Filtration. The unit is dropped into the fuel tank and attached to the filler cap by a cord. It is checked weekly or at every fill up.

Captured water makes the chemical inside the nylon cage swell up and become translucent. When most or all of the chemical has turned to gel the unit is discarded and a new one inserted. Typically this happens every four to eight weeks says the company.

Benefits claimed for the Eliminator are: Reduced bacterial growth, fuel line freezing and need for additives; increases in fuel hl ter and injector tip life.

The product is non-toxic, biodegradable and chemically inert enabling it to he disposed of without the need for special pre cautions says Hu rstway.

Water Eliminator costs £11.50 ex VAT with discounts available for bulk orders.
