• A fully adjustable trailer sideguard that takes only 30 minutes to fit is available from Concept Metal Products. The guards are prefabricated and use eight or twelve bolts to secure them to the vehicle. This also makes the guards quick to replace after an impact, says the manufacturer.
Each set of guards costs around £100 and they come as uncoated steel. The company has over 5,000 guards in operation including 200 sets recently fitted to British Telecom trucks.
