• Jumpstarta is a multi-purpose engine starter, battery charger and booster from B C Electrical Techniques. Each model in the range can be used to start a vehicle with a flat battery by connecting it to an electricity supply then turning the key in the normal way.
Alternatively if the connections are made and the ignition left on without atttempting to start the vehicle, the ham will fast charge in about 25 minutes. If the ignition is left off a trickle charge will take place.
The Dual Duty 12/24 volt model delivers 400 amps for starting, costs £375.88 ex VAT and requires connection to a 30 amp ring main. The 12 volt-only models require 13 amp connections.
