Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN epicyclie two-speed unit which can be built 'into and mounted integrally with the makers' five-speed gearbox, has been introduced by David Brown Industries, Ltd. It is claimed that, with 10 ratios available, the complete unit makes such a provision at lower cost than a five-speed gearbox and a two-speed rear axle.

The 557A gearbox, as the unit is known, is offered with two alternative sets of ratios, and the torque input limit is 480 lb./ft.
