14EMBERS of the new Central TransY1 port Consultative Committee for Great Britain have been announced bythe Minister of Transport. Sir Ronald Thornbury Garrett has been appointed chairman, with Mr. J. C. Chambers as secretary, Other members are: Mr. J. L. Brighton and Mr. D. Goodfellow (representing agriculture); Mr. S. C. Rowell, Mr. D. H. Joyce, Mr. C. S. Garland, Mr. E. G. Whitaker and Mr. R. H. E. Thomas (commerce and industry); Mr. L. Hooper (shipping); Mr. H. Collison and Mr. G, H. Lowthian (labour); Maj. J. R. H. Harley, Maj, C. E. Pym, Aid. Sir James Collins, ClIr. Maj. W. H. Powell and Cllr. J. Bennett (local authorities); Lord Rusholme and Mr. M. A. Cameron (British Transport Commission).
Two other members are included—Sir John Banks. chairman of the Transport Users' Consultative Committee for Scotland. and Mr. R. G. M. Street. chairman of the T.U.C.C. for Wales and Monmouthshire.
