Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AS from October 1, it will be necessary during darkness, to carry an extra rear light not more than 3 ft. 6 in. from the extreme rear of any load which projects more than that distance behind the normal rear lights. In the case of fire escapes and of tractors on which agricultural implements are mounted, 6 ft. will be substituted for 3 ft. 6 in.

It will also be necessary to have an extra rear light not more than 12 in. from the outer edge of any load projecting more than that distance beyond the side of the vehicle or trailer.

These new provisions were announced by the Ministry of Transport on Tuesday. They are contained in the Road Vehicles Lighting (Projecting Loads) Order, 1958, and the Road Vehicles Lighting (Projecting Loads) Regulations, 1958.
