THE long-distance fleet of Messrs. A.

Mason and Sons, Engine Street, Smethwick, Staffs, has been taken over by T. I. Richardson and Sons, Ltd., Oldbury, Birmingham. It • include5seven A.E.C.. Maudslay and Thornyeroft eight. wheelers, and an A.EC. 8-tonner, and will be allotted to subsidiary companies ir the Richardson group.

Two new subsidiary concerns have been formed. Richardsons (Rugeley), Ltd., are running 14 Atkinson and Thornycroft 8-wheelers, 10 Seddon 5-tonners and four Thornycroft 6-tonners taken over from Sunley's Transport (Stafford), Ltd., last August, Richardsons (Oldbury), Ltd., operate eight Atkinson eight-wheelers, two Cornmer articulated 10-tormers and a Commer 7-tonner.
