The Historic Commercial Vehicle Society's annual showcase saw dull skies turn to glorious sun as 218 wonderfully diverse vehicles made their way from Crystal Palace to Madeira Drive. From an 1899 De Dion tricycle (all of 275cc and 175hp) to a 1973 Scammell, there was a vehicle to delight everybody.
Entrants had never seen so many people at the event, and the many superb British vehicles— including a particularly strong entry of classic Albions—were joined by colourful trucks, buses and fire engines from Europe and America.
