A driver was left seriously injured after his truck fell 25ft 'em a flyover in West Yorkshire last week.
Anthony Gamble, who works for the Copper Cable Company 7 Coalville, Leics, was travelling on the A58 Burdock Way In alifax when his rigid clipped a stationary Renault Megane or, smashed through the safety barrier and landed upside own on the road below.
West Yorkshire Fire Service was called to assist the police Id ambulance service to rescue the trapped driver.
"He has worked for us since 1998 and had an unblemished drilog record," says Copper Cable MD Colin McKay.
I In a separate incident the same day in North Yorkshire a drir and his mate had a lucky escape when only a safety barer prevented their truck from crashing through a bridge arapet onto a railway line.
The accident occurred or the A658 at Nab Hill ,ust south of arrogate at 03:23hrs: the incident caused delays on the radford road for more than seven hours.
