mugs
Instead of Reds under beds, a Leyland employee sees bugs under mugs. In a letter to Leyland Times, which won him £5, he says: ". . . in any pub in the area any competitor would hear enough information about our future plans to keep his market research staff happy for months.'
Part of his remedy for careless talk is to issue all staff with identity cards bearing their photographs. How these would silence indiscreet tongues is not explained.
What is encouraging is the suggestion that Leyland has plans that might interest more successful competitors.
