London Transport wants to buy part of the old AEC works at Southall. But rumours thai it may again be the home ol the "builders of London's Buses" have been denied.
Instead London Transport has told the Greater Londor Council that it wants to usi part of the old works tc replace its Southall bu! garage.
Reliable sources said that LT required the factory in thE long term for its XRM bu: project.
