NOT IN answer to the energy crisis, although with some slight energy saving as a result, London Transport is to re-introduce a type of bus not seen in the capital for many years.
Station will be hay as fuel. For almost three months from Monday, July 9, a daily service between Baker Street and the London Zoo run by buses burning a major part of their Station will be hay as fuel.
Three Victorian horsebuses will operate the service as part of London Transport's celebration of the 150th anniversary of the London Bus. The journey time from Baker Street to the zoo is normally about 10 minutes by diesel bus, but may be up to 30 minutes.
