TOWMASTER Transport, the Arthur Bell Scotch Whisky group's road haulage subsidiary, increased its profit last year from £113,000 to £162,000.
Turnover was up from £2.9m to £3m, while the group as a whole increased its profit from £11.2m to £12.4m. Towmaster operates 85 lorries from depots in Kent, Yorkshire and the East of Scotland and depends on outside customers for a quarter of its revenue.
