YORK Truck Equipment forecasts a growth in the market for non-hgv articulated vehicles following the introduction of regulations which exempt their drivers from hgv licences (CM, January 12).
York has recently converted several small rigid vehicles to tractive units.
One of the more unusual is a Chevrolet pick-up which was converted to a tractive unit to pull a racing car carrier for Rothmans. The conversion included the fitting of full air brakes.
The York-built trailer's internal fittings were supplied by Club Car of Wellingborough.
