Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE BRITISH Standards Institution has added a section on selection and care of tyre inflation valves to the code of practice BS AU 50.

Section Eight gives recommendations on initial selection for the manufacturer and further recommendations for the care of valves.

The standard describes the different types of valve suited to tubeless and tubed tyres, their fitting and checks to be made in service.

A check list spells out the do's and don'ts for the vehicle operator which will assist road safety.

Copies of BS AU 50 Part Three, Section Eight may be obtained from the Sales Department, British Standards Institution, Linford Wood, Milton Keynes MK14 6LE, priced at £10.20. (£5.10 to BSI subscribing members).
