ORDERS for two horse transporters, each valued at £100,000 have been secured by Arden Horse Box Company of Southport. Mounted on Mercedes-Benz and Volvo 16 tonne chassis they are similar to one (pictured) completed recently for a Middle Eastern customer.
Living facilities for six people and four horses will be provided in each box with fittings that include air conditioning and hot and cold showers for riders and horses.
A conference area is provided with video and stereo equipment. Catering fittings include a micro-wave oven, ice-maker and a refrigerator. Extensive use is made of hard woods, hide and velvets.
Arden's export sales for this year so far total over £750,000.
