MANAGING director of Bedwas Bodyworks is Derek Painter. His appointment follows Jim Greenhalgh's move to Locomotors (CM February 23).
Mr Painter joins Bedwas from Longwell Green Coachworks, where he was director and general manager. He has many years' experience of vehicle bodywork design and manufacture. He has long been an active member of the Vehicle Builders and Repairers Association, has been chairman of its UK National Council and Vice President of its European Association.
Also joining the board of Bedwas are Denis Carter, Lawrence Newman and Johannes Filippini. Mr Carter is promoted from manager to director, sales and marketing; Mr Newman, who was company accountant, is now director and regional financial controller; and Mr Filippini, who was general man ager of the company's Chorley depot which was opened in December 1983, is now a director as well.
