LOTHIAN Region Transport is to run two new coach tours from Waverly Bridge in the winter season to take passengers to see the road and rail bridges at South Queensferry.
One excursion, christened the Forth Bridges Tour, will leave Waverly Bridge on Tuesdays and Thursday. This tour is re-named the Whisky and Water Tour and includes a visit to the Sanderson whisky blending and bottling plant, A Lothian region spokesman said that the tours are aimed as much at the resident of Edinburgh as at the visitor. The tours will begin with the winter season on October 1.
