IN READINESS for the opening of the new Freightliner Terminal at the Royal Seaforth Container Terminal in November, British Rail commissioned an "open" level crossing on Regent Road, Bootle — the Dock Road — opposite the entrance to the eilexandra Branch Docks.
The new level crossing connects Seaforth Docks to the rail network.
