GLASG OW CORP ORATION has 1.-1 approved the purchase of a 36-ft. Leyland Panther, rear underftoor-engined, single-decker bus, with bodywork by Alexander for one-man-operated use as an experimental unit on selected routes in the city. The bus, which is to cost £6,500, will be used mainly on lightly used routes where the alternative would be cuts in normal type double-decker schedules because of uneconomic running.
