the first ever British president of the International Road Transport • Union when he takes office on January 1, 1965. The announcement was made on Tuesday at the biennial I.R.U. congress in Cannes.
The International Road Transport Union, with headquarters in Geneva, is a world-wide organization embracing 25 countries. Mr. Turner, who first became involved in its work only three years ago, is managing director of General Industrial Cleaners Ltd., Borrowash, Derbyshire.
