Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

If the offence which led to the endorsement was in connection with Sections 5(1), 6(1) or 9(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1972, then Section 101(7) of the Act allows the endorsement to be omitted from a new licence issued after 10 years. Section 5(1) refers to being unfit to drive through drink or drugs, Section 6(1) refers to driving or being in charge with a blood-alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit and Section 9(3) involves failing to provide a specimen.

In other cases the clean licence will be issued after three years.
