At a meeting of County Council Associations, hold at the Guildhall, 'Westminster. recently, a letter was considered from the Notts C.C., calling attention to the damage caused to roads by traction engines with studded wheels, and, suggesting the desirability of the_withdrawal
of the Order which permits the use of studs.
The Association decided to draw the attention of the Government to, the fact that the Association only agreed to the Order permitting studded wheels on the ground of the necessity of net hindering in any way the use of locomotives signed,for food productiOn purposes; and on condition that the Order should .be discontinued after the war, and to.express the' opinion that the Order should now be repealed.
