Ilford UD-C. has asked the siirveyor to report comprehensively' on -the. probable coat of mechanical transport, the miniber of vehicles required for properly carrying out the'colleetion and disposal of house refuse by that means, together
with particulars as to the collection, and in connection therewith to communicate with other authorities with a view to-obtaining:their experience as to cost, etc. Before the war the cast in Ilford by horsed vehicles was 3s. 9a. per load. Dist year it rose to 12a. :11d. per lead. This is for the collection of the refuse.
