The administrative staff, together with the din:dors, of S. Smith and Soria (M.A.), Ltd., have just' held their first annual outing. This took the farm of a river excursion from Richmond to Shopperton. One of our staff was present, and it was impossible to remain twinfected with the universal sense of enjoyment. There. is here a Complete Understanding, between directorate and em ployees, which evidently induces the best possible work in this concern. Luncheon was served aboard the "Princess Beatrice," and tea was taken ashore amid the sylvan surroundings of Sheppertou. Nice things were said about the Press, which were suitably acknowledged, then Mr. McGregor, who, doubtless because of his popularity, had been sadly maltreated on the up-river journey, made formal complaints, which elicited not sympathy, but much laughter; at any ratr3, he achieved his object and brought Mr. Gordon Smith, the managing director, to his feet, who cordially greeted his staff, • exhorting them to put forward their best efforts, as they had in the past, now they had now to cope with a greatly extended business. Mr. Reginald. Smith, Messrs. Nicholls, Arnold and Dandle were much in evidence, and Mr. Dilley was much complimented for managing the trip.
We are notified by Henry Ford and Son, Ltd., that the company is removing its sales department from 59, Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W.C. 1, to Cork, Ireland, and in future all correspondence should be addressed thereto.
