• leVarley magistrates heard how tipper driver Roger Jones collided with a fully-laden petrol tanker, while reversing his artic, causing the tanker to explode.

Jones denied driving without due care and attention. He had been reversing into a scrap merchant's premises when the tanker, which was leaving the Cleveland Petroleum depot in Oldbury, ran into him.
