Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Another Scottish Bus Group company has been put up for sale.

Northern Scottish, the group's Aberdeen-based subsidiary, which trades as Bluebird Northern, is the sixth SI% company to be offered for sale as part of the privatisation process. With a 1989 turnover of 210.2m Northern operates 209 buses and coaches throughout the Grampian Region with 518 staff. In 1989 it carried an estimated 13.8m passengers.

With the completion of the sales of Midland and Eastern, four SBG companies are now in private hands. Midland has passed to Aberdeen-based GRT Holdings, and Eastern to a management/employee team. GRT is the only successful outside bidder so far. The new owners of Eastern Scottish are reviving the old SMT-name for their fleet, a reminder of the original Scottish Motor Traction company of 1906 which laid the foundations of the Bus Group empire. A modern logo, which echoes the once-familiar diamond emblem, is being introduced.
