• Securicor Express Parcels Is changing its name to Securicor Omega Express in a Um facelift that will take two years to complete.
The money is being channelled into a new livery for the parcel and document fleet and an advertising campaign, but marketing director John Bintliff says that the project will generate enough new business to pay for itself.
The new livery is light blue and silver, in distinct contrast to Securicor's dark blue cash carrying vehicles, which Bintliff says carry the image of helmets and guns.
Omega intends to complete its international network by the end of 1991, which will mean it will have to take on extra agents.
The company has also set aside .225m for investment in customer services including the Signline system — which offers confirmation of next-day delivery by fax — and for new customer service centres,
