nURING the International Railway
Congress in London last week, British Railways arranged an exhibition at Marylebone Station of 23 representative vehicles at present in service. In the headquarters of the British Transport Commission,. which adjoins the station, the past and present in vehicle types were shown pictorially.
In the parade, Scammell mechanical horses predominated, In addition there were Karrier, Austin, Bedford, MorrisCommercial, Thornycroft, Maudslay, Foden and Latil units. The Latil was shown with a 16-wheeled trailer and the Foden was coupled to an eightwheeled trailer.
The two battery-electrics in the parade were a Morrison-Electricar 2-tonncr with Scammell coupling gear and semi-trailer, and an N.C.B. 1-ton van.
