Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Glyn Samuels, the new chairman of the Transport Association, would like to know the metric version of a bushel. A member who attended the TA annual luncheon suggested a bushette. I make it 38.37 litres. Whatever it is, the association has hidden its light under it for far too long, says Glyn.

The TA, like the Road Haulage Association, had to fight apathy and move with the times, he told members. Eddie Price, a founder-member, also believes that the TA can benefit by some re-organisation — "fewer meetings, more people," he suggested.

Glyn is managing director of Flowers Transport Ltd and chairman of the RHA Yorkshire (Leeds) area. Service to the industry is in the company's tradition. Willie Bridge, its one-time head, was a member of the R HA National Council for more years than I can remember.
