• Wilkinson's Transport Group, of Rochdale, this week began a door-to-door parcels delivery service between UK firms and their customers in Europe. A feature of this service is that customers from almost any area in Britain an be given an inclusive freight rate quotation in advance for delivery of goods from their office, factory or warehouse to customers overseas.

The service entails land-sea deliveries linking Britain with Europe and is aimed mainly at exporters sending small parcels and consignments up to one ton in weight.
